Nikko and Sierra’s Adventures: No More Knuckle Sandwiches

Thanks everyone for coming to The D-Dan Reviews. Today I will be doing another book review!!!! One thing you must know about me is that I love getting lost in a book. This book really satisfied my taste for adventure and I definitely got lost. Nikko and Sierra’s Adventures is a series book. This one is about stopping child abuse and bullying.

I really enjoyed this book. It it was a good balance of humor and seriousness for such a strong subject. For example, the little brother was perfect for tense moments. Through the beginning of the story I was a little confused. This book left out some details that would have been helpful. For example, I didn’t know what grade the kids were in. That would have been helpful to determine if it was a kids book. It also felt like something was missing. Like maybe why the main character’s dad was always away and where her mom was. Those weren’t huge factors in the story that needed fixing though.

Honestly, when I heard the abuse part I took this book seriously. I like how the comedy broke the ice though. It was so enjoyable. I laughed but I didn’t crack a smile because of how serious the message was. All in all I’d give this book a “NUCLEAR”. I really enjoyed the book and can’t wait for the next one. Also you can be an “I-Tell Kid” just like Nikko and Sierra.
